Women's Equality Day: The Responsibility of Citizenship

Today is Women's Equality Day. The 19th amendment protects our right to vote and bestows on us the responsibility of participating in the public arena - voting, running for office, expressing our opinions, and supporting the constitution.

Today we celebrate the women and men who fought for more than a hundred years for "Votes for Women."

Today we rally to protect and move equality forward.

We assume the responsibility of citizenship. And, it's time to pass the Equal Rights Amendment.
