New AAUW Virtual Branch Approved

Congratulations to Maria Ellis and the Empire State Virtual Branch team that has worked long and hard to give birth to the Empire Branch. The national AAUW board approved the new branch in July and 25 founding members immediately joined the branch.

NYS president Mary Lou Davis became the very first (dual) member and posted the first message on the Empire website:
Since 1881 AAUW has been a catalyst for change.  AAUW believes that together we can transform society for the better. AAUW’s vision is to bring people together united behind the common goal of breaking through educational and economic barriers for women and girls. 
Virtual branches are a great way for college women and busy professionals to be active in AAUW if they have limited time for meetings. [Read more]
