Combating Health Crises in Africa

Dr. Barbara Weiser, Co-Director of HIV Medicne, Wadsworth Center, New York State Department of Health, and professor of medicine at Albany Medical College, will lead a discussion of the progress being made in medical research and treatment for HIV and other major health issues confronting developing nations in Africa. The presentation includes personal experiences and images from Kenya and Rwanda where she has lived and worked.
The program, co-sponsored by the Schenectady Branch AAUW and the Niskayuna Central School District Community Education Program, will be presented on Wednesday, April 25, 2007, 6;30 p.m., at the Van Antwerp Middle School Auditorium, 2253 Story Ave., Niskayuna, N.Y. The public is invited to attend.
